"If I Had A Gun..."
Lines from Twelfth Night
If I had a gun, I'd shoot a hole into the sun
And love would burn this city down for you
If I had the time, I'd stop the world and make you mine
And every day would stay the same with you

Give you back the dream, show you now what might had been
If all the tears you cry would fade away (away, away, away...)
I'll be by your side, when they come to say goodbye
We will live to fight another day

Excuse me if I spoke too soon
My eyes have always followed you around the room
'Cause you're the only god that I will ever need
I'm holding on and waiting for the moment to find me

Hope I didn't speak to soon
My eyes have always followed you around the room
'Cause you're the only god that I will ever need
I'm holding on and waiting for the moment for my heart to be unbroken by the scene

Let me fly you to the moon
My eyes have always followed you around the room
'Cause you're the only god that I will ever need
I'm holding on and waiting for the moment to find me

If I had a gun, I'd shoot a hole into the sun
And love would burn this city down for you
I,5,455  Gentlewoman, my lady calls.

II,5,1139  I may command where I adore.' Why, she may command
me: I serve her; she is my lady. Why, this is...

V,1,2542  Lady, you have. Pray you, peruse that letter.
You must not now deny it is your hand:...

I chose this song because its about the guy wanting more time with the person he loves and thats the same as Malvolio he always wanted her really badly but he never could he wanted more time and just stop time and make her hers but he never could its very sad that he could never achieve it.

Malvolio seems stubborn and mad all the time which makes him look like a villain or the bad guy of the story. I believe Malvolio has to act a little mean sometimes, but that’s really just a coverup for some tragic events that happened in his life. Malvolio’s humor is very old and i personally don’t understand all of his jokes but i’m guessing in those times they were good.
Notice how viciously Malvolio returns Feste’s “joke”. I believe he’s acting this way not only because Olivia seems to be letting Feste make fun of her (and him), but also out of jealousy. He’s already developed an affinity towards Olivia, and would rather not have her favor someone so un-worthwhile as this fool. Olivia begins by reproaching Malvolio, and explains why she let Feste make fun of her. She understands that Feste’s joking–and yet Malvolio takes his joke seriously.

POEM

FortunaBy Thomas Carlyle

The wind blows east, the wind blows west,
And the frost falls and the rain:
A weary heart went thankful to rest,
And must rise to toil again, ’gain,
And must rise to toil again.

The wind blows east, the wind blows west,
And there comes good luck and bad;
The thriftiest man is the cheerfulest;
’Tis a thriftless thing to be sad, sad,
’Tis a thriftless thing to be sad.

The wind blows east, the wind blows west;
Ye shall know a tree by its fruit:
This world, they say, is worst to the best;—
But a dastard has evil to boot, boot,
But a dastard has evil to boot.

The wind blows east, the wind blows west;
What skills it to mourn or to talk?
A journey I have, and far ere I rest;
I must bundle my wallets and walk, walk,
I must bundle my wallets and walk.

The wind does blow as it lists alway;
Canst thou change this world to thy mind?
The world will wander its own wise way;
I also will wander mine, mine,
I also will wander mine.

Look how Viola / Cesario talks to the Duke as a man and talks to him about Olivia, even if it hurts her inside because she loves this Duke and its painful for her to be listening to him talking about this love for Olivia. “2.4.90 sooth, but you must. Say that some lady, as perhaps there is, hath for your love a great a pang of heart As you have for Olivia. You cannot love her; You tell her so; must she not then be answer’d” It’s funny how you hear her in the beginning to talk so innocent and like a woman and then hear her talk like another soldier “3.1.95 My duty, madam, and most humble service.” You see how she changes in the play just by hearing the words she uses and how she starts talking afterwards the change of sex she had. Viola continues being passive and innocent, secretly hoping that Orsino will love her.

There is no woman's sides
Can bide the beating of so strong a passion
As love doth give my heart; no woman's heart
Alas, their love may be call'd appetite,
No motion of the liver, but the palate,
That suffer surfeit, cloyment and revolt;
But mine is all as hungry as the sea,
And can digest as much: male no compare
Between that love a woman can bear me And that I
owe Olivia.

This is what Duke Orsino says to Cesario so he shows how much he loves and cares about Olivia.
He says that she deserves the best and that he is the one. Again this must be very painful for Cesario/Viola to hear because it is always hard to hear that the person you love is instead in love with someone else.

The Maze Runner

Rigoberto Garza
12th grade
English

The Maze Runner is one of the few books I have read, but personally I want to congratulate the Author because I love the way he used suspense for the whole story and how he gave you a very big image of the book I felt I could imagine everything in the book very good and I felt I could see what Thomas was seeing. The words he used were perfect for the reader and it was very specific. I am a big fan of the “Grievers” and how he used them as the biggest obstacle of the book. Another thing that I liked a lot too as well was how the Author always kept adding something into the book, for example when he introduced Teresa and how she had telepathic powers with Thomas and later in the book how they fall in love. The book personally I would recommend it because its not a complicated or hard book to read and its a book that you will enjoy. You are always entertained in how they had to figure out the code of the maps or how they had to sacrificed themselves to get to the griever whole so they can leave the Glade. Gally was a very interesting character in the book because you are never sure of his next move specially when everyone escapes and they see the creators that they see him there and takes out a random knife from his pocket and tries to hit Thomas but it hits Chuck in the chest and he dies int he hands of Thomas. In conclusion I strongly recommend this book to all readers they will all truly enjoy the book and the suspense it constantly has.

Hello!

My name is Rigoberto Garza. I've been a residential student in The North Broward Preparatory School for 2 years now and living in The United States for 4. I came to live here because of the school program  because its very good and it helps you a lot in your future. Another important factor that made me come was the insecurity in Mexico. All my family was born and raised in Mexico and they all are proud Mexicans.

One of the things that I enjoy the most is snowboarding. Ive snowboarded for 5 or 6 years now and I love it. The best feeling is to feel the wind in your face when you are going down carving threw the snow. Snowboarding really helps me relax and just think about things. Up in the mountain there is no phones no distractions no anything just you and your board. I reflection about a lot of things when I'm going down the mountain and just see white fluffy snow everywhere. I can think clearly about everything when I'm going down. Something else that I enjoy a lot is jet-skiing its the same as snowboarding just go to the front and just think and enjoy the water and just relax. I've done that for a longer time and my uncle recently just bought 2 of them so every weekend that I go out to Miami I take the time to go and use them and just take a break of everything for some time.

The dorm life is a very different experience for all residential students some enjoy it and don't want to leave and just feel at home, some don't like the dorm life because its a very different way of living. Living in the dorm is living without the freedom that people usually have. Its complicated to get used to everything, specially in your first year of the dorm life. In the future you get to know the faculty and the head masters and know how to do things and how to get used to the style of them and of living in the dorms, but know how to get those extra drops of freedom that are very important.
